Practice for Movement
Rooting Reflex
The movement:
At a touch of the edge of the baby's mouth or cheek, he turns his head to the same side, closing his eyes at the same time, opening his mouth, his tongue coming out slightly and puckering his lips. The reflex has to do with sexual energy, reproduction, and basic safety and contact with someone of your own kind.
Symptoms of an uninhibited Rooting Reflex:
-
Articulation problems
-
Drooling
-
Hypersensitive mouth, lips, fingers and skin
-
Due to the lack of mobility of the tongue, the palate arch remains too pointed so that there is too little room in the jaw for teeth and molars to get through
-
Simultaneous verbal and visual assignments cannot be performed simultaneously. Eg looking at the teacher while you have to answer a question does not work and you will look away, because all energy goes to the irritated mouth / throat, or you will look at the teacher without answering
